State of Florida Adopts NFPA 10 2007 Edition
The State of Florida recently adopted the 2007 edition of NFPA 10. After reviewing the newly adopted edition I noticed some changes from the previously adopted edition. One of these changes I found extremely important to both the consumer and fire equipment dealers was in 4.4 Obsolete Fire Extinguishers. In this section it states that all stored pressure fire extinguishers manufactured prior to October 1984 shall be removed from service at the next 6 year maintenance or Hydrotest.
